Analyse charters, business cases, PIDs, project briefs and initiation packs for gaps, contradictions, weak assumptions and readiness risks.

FORGE ASSAY is the governance artefact analysis component of the FORGE Logic™ ecosystem.

It is used when an initiative already has a charter, business case, PID, project brief, initiation pack or similar governance document, but its quality and decision-readiness need to be tested.

ASSAY reviews the available material, identifies gaps, contradictions and weak assumptions, and converts the findings into structured delivery intelligence that can support BILLET, ANVIL, TEMPER or future governance review.

Many governance documents look complete because they contain the expected headings, but still fail to expose weak logic, unclear scope, missing assumptions, untested risks, unsupported benefits or poor accountability.

That creates a false sense of readiness. Sponsors may approve work that has not been properly challenged, while delivery teams inherit ambiguity that should have been resolved earlier.

ASSAY helps test whether existing governance material is genuinely decision-ready.

ASSAY analyses uploaded or provided governance material and assesses whether it provides a credible basis for decision-making.

It looks for missing information, internal contradictions, vague objectives, weak assumptions, unclear ownership, unsupported benefits, immature risks and gaps between ambition, scope and delivery evidence.

ASSAY produces a structured assessment of the source material.

The output may include gap findings, contradiction flags, readiness observations, suggested clarifications and evidence that can be reused by BILLET, ANVIL, TEMPER or the wider FORGE governance process.
