Overview

Overview

ASSAY helps organisations test whether existing governance material provides a credible basis for decision-making.

It reviews charters, business cases, PIDs, project briefs and similar documents to identify omissions, inconsistencies and areas requiring clarification or challenge.

The resulting assessment gives sponsors, PMOs and assurance teams a clearer view of document quality and readiness before approval, mobilisation or replanning.

Once reviewed and appropriately governed, relevant findings can contribute to the organisation’s delivery intelligence and strengthen future initiatives.

ASSAY supports professional judgement. It does not approve an initiative or make governance decisions on the organisation’s behalf.

The buyer problem

The buyer problem

Organisations often rely on governance documents that appear complete but contain unresolved gaps, contradictory statements or weak supporting evidence.

These weaknesses may remain hidden until approval, mobilisation or delivery, when they become more expensive and difficult to correct.

Sponsors, PMOs and assurance teams need a consistent way to identify what is credible, what requires clarification and what is not yet ready for decision.

What it does

What it does

ASSAY examines existing governance material for completeness, internal consistency and decision-readiness.

It identifies gaps, contradictions, unclear assumptions and areas where supporting evidence is weak or missing, then presents those findings for authorised review and challenge.

ASSAY supports structured assurance and professional judgement. It does not determine whether an initiative should proceed.

What it produces

What it produces

ASSAY produces a structured assessment of the submitted governance material.

The assessment highlights omissions, contradictions, weak evidence and matters requiring clarification or authorised review, giving sponsors, PMOs and assurance teams a clearer basis for deciding what must be strengthened.

Once reviewed and appropriately governed, relevant findings can contribute to the organisation’s delivery intelligence and support future analysis and improvement.

All findings remain subject to human review and professional judgement.
